Quotations on Success

Thanks for visiting us again. Please feel free to look around, read some posts and don't forget to leave a comment.

Quotations on success are one of the easiest ways to stay focused.  Collecting quotes from great men and women offers you an in demand method of refocusing and getting back on track.  The positive messages of others can offer the right adjustment at just the right time.  During very challenging times, I remember a quote by Les Brown.  Les said “When life knocks you down, always try to land on your back.  Because if you can look up, you can get up.”

Although there are many websites that specialize in quotations, in this article I want to share with you the quotes that are near and dear to my heart.  Quotes like this one from Earl Nightingale.  Earl said : “All of us are self made-, but only the successful will admit it.”  I’ve always wanted to be a positive self made man, and this quote has helped me to never give up on myself.

Success quotes can at times mean the difference between a life filled with joy, happy and contribution verses a life of disappointment, struggle and hopelessness.  The great words of successful men and women need to deeply engrained in your heart.

Do a Google search of those individuals whom you greatly respect and admire.  What do they have to say about love, fear, friendship, taking risk, planning, contribution or their key to success.

Here are some of my favorite experts and what they had to say.

The fact that you even have a desire is evidence you have what it takes to achieve it. Bishop TD Jakes and Brian Tracy

You deserve to have your life exactly the way you want it.  Jack Canfield

I don’t care how bad it is or how bad it gets, I am going to make it.  Les Brown

Reality a merely an illusion, albeit a persistent one.  Albert Einstein

Most people give up just when they’re about to achieve success. They quit on the one yard line. They give up at the last minute of the game one foot from a winning touchdown. H. Ross Perot

If you want to be successful, find someone who has achieved the results you want and copy what they do and you’ll achieve the same results.  Anthony Robbins

Be ashamed to die until you have won some victory for humanity.  Horace Mann

Always do your best. What you plant now, you will harvest later.  Og Mandino

Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.  Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

These are but a few of the quotes I have internalized and made them into my own.  That really is the key to power.  You simply take the best tips and ideas from your mentors and you live those until they become apart of you.

I invite you to start your own quotations on success list.  There are no rules.  When you read a book or article, if the author says something profound, write it down and find a way to implement that thought into your daily life.

I hope this article provided you with great ideas to use on your own.  If you have received value from this article, please feel free to leave a comment.  Thank you for your time and good luck.

How to Build Self Confidence

Building self confidence is the basis of any kind of positive achievement.  I don’t know what your particular situation is, but I believe there is hope for you.  Building your self confidence is like building a house.  This article will walk you through the building process of self confidence.

First you start with the plans

It is important to know how you would like for your confidence house to look when complete.  Getting a clear picture of how you would like to look in the future is important.  Would you like to take more action?  Would you like to be more confident when meeting new people or interacting with the opposite sex?  Would you like to be more assertive at work?  Knowing where you are going is the first step to arriving there.

Build A Solid Foundation

OK, so now we are clear about how we want our confidence house to look when complete.  The next step is to pour the foundation.  The easiest way I know to increase your confidence is by what is called auto suggestion.  Auto suggestions are statements that represents the things you would like to have happen in your life.  For example:

  • I am calm and confident when meeting new people
  • I am confident and exceeding expectations at work
  • I am interesting and confident around the opposite sex

Saying statements like those will help to create a new reality in your mind.  Where shyness and timidity once existed, confidence and a positive self image is now present.

Building Your Walls

Building your walls are giving yourself permission and motivation to succeed.   While you are repeating your foundational confidence building statements, look for every opportunity to test it out in real life.  Allow each positive experience to build upon the next.  Having confidence means you have the confidence to do the things you were once afraid to do.

The Outside Protection

Things are good.  You have proven to yourself that this confidence building process works.  Now, it’s time to fortify that belief by investing your time and money into more confidence building products.

In order to build self confidence, there really is a process that makes it easy.  Identify the things you would like to have in your life.  Create positive statements that you read aloud daily and assume to be true.  Make a positive mental note every time you act in a way that is congruent to your new confidence.  And finally, taking this new way of life serious by making an investment in time and money into a confidence building program.

The Top Ten Ways to Get You in a Better Mood

1.      Exercise- OK, I’ll admit. Maybe I should not have chosen exercise as my number one thing to get you in a better mood. And honestly I can’t explain why or how the act of just exercising can have such a positive effect on your attitude. I normally work out the first thing in the morning and again just before bed. It doesn’t matter what surprises life has dealt to me, exercise immediately changes my physical and emotional state.

2.      Affirmation- I love affirmations (I call them declarations). Affirmations, just in case you have never heard of them are powerful statements that you affirm concerning your present or future situations. Lets say you’re dealing with a job loss. You can affirm: I am happily doing the work that I most enjoy. If your partner just left you, you can affirm: I am happily sharing my life with someone who loves, honors and respects me.

3.      Visualization- What does your perfect future look like? Personally, when things are not moving quickly enough for me, I start to picture myself on stage with thousands in attendance. I picture travelling from city to city on my nationwide book signing tour. I picture myself being interviewed on Oprah and so on. Surprisingly, it doesn’t take me long to refocus and get into a crazy excited mood. You have to focus on the life you want when the life you have isn’t it.

4.      Learn Something New- Learning a new skill or hobby is a way to forget about whatever it is troubling you. Is there anything you would like to learn? When times are tough, we need to distract our minds from the pain.

5.      Teach Others What You Know- Sharing our knowledge and experience with others is a great way to change your state. A couple of weeks ago I was on the phone with a friend, Lionel, teaching him a simple money making strategy I have mastered online. I can’t say I was in a bad mood when we began. But by the end of the call, I felt great because I was able to share what I know with someone and Lionel now thinks I’m some kind of expert. Win-win for everyone.

6.      Remember Past Successes- In all of our lives, there are many things that we have done successfully. When hard times or bad news comes, we must remind ourselves of the challenges we have already overcome. We must keep ourselves focused on what’s positive so that our positive experiences can overpower all the negative that has come up against us.

7.      Watch/ Read/ Listen to Something Funny- Personally, when I start to feel bad or beat myself up, I will visit YouTube and watch Richard Pryors ‘Mafia’ skit. I absolutely cannot help but to experience a change of mind. I also like cartoons: Buggs Bunny, Daffy, The Flintstones. There are no right and wrongs. Whatever you can watch, read or listen to that will help, do it.

8.      Watch/ Read/ Listen to Something Inspirational- The people I keep in my inspirational arsenal include Les Brown, Earl Nightingale, T. Harv Eker, Mark Victor Hansen and Jack Canfield. I also enjoy Bishop TD Jakes and Joel Olsteen. The who really isn’t important as long as their words have the ability to produce within you a quick change of attitude.

9.      Listen to great music- As I write this I am listening to Purple Rain by Prince. Every time I hear this song it soothes me. It gets me to take a positive outlook on everything going on in my life. What songs have that effect on you? Another thing I do is have my favorite inspirational songs on my mp3 player. I find that if I listen to then throughout the day, I seem to stay in a good mood. It works for me. Maybe it will work for you.

10. Give someone a compliment- This is by far one of the simplest things that can be done. For some reason, when we offer someone any kind of compliment, we feel good because they feel good. Each one of us loves to receive a compliment. It doesn’t matter if it’s that our hair looks nice or that our tie looks good. Receiving a compliment brightens our day. And giving a compliment feels just as good.

In this article, I wanted to offer simple yet practical ways to quickly get you in a better mood. I shared with you many of the things I personally do to quickly change my state. I hope the things I shared with you were helpful to you.

I invite you to please visit my blog and leave a comment if this article has benefitted you in any way. Thank you in advance.
