Do Affirmations Really Work

Thanks for visiting us again. Please feel free to look around, read some posts and don't forget to leave a comment.

Affirmations are still not as widely valued and believed as they should be.  It seems as if people either love or hate them.  But do affirmations really work?  Are the critics right?  Personally I believe in affirmations and the underlying power they contain.  A statement that you repeat over and over you eventually believe as fact.  Whether it’s a positive or negative statement, you will believe it about yourself if you say it enough times.  That’s why you must be careful of what you think and the things you speak.  You are speaking your future with every word you say.

I would like you to put affirmations into action in your life.  Prove to yourself that they do, in fact, work.  However,  as you experiment with this, I want you to be totally convinced that this works.

Decide a negative or unsupportive thought that needs to be replaced.  Next, come up with an affirmation that perfectly replaces the negative thought.  If you need help, visit my sample affirmations section.  Decide upon a simple yet meaningful statement that you can purposefully use to change limiting belies.

Next I want you to make a commitment to yourself that you will not stop until that old belief or thought has been replaced.  What you will find is that as you begin, the act of repeating your affirmations with power, feeling and conviction will bring a strength and mental focus to your mind like you’ve never experienced before.  Daily affirmations will get your day started with purpose and passion.

Affirmations only work when you work them.  If you work them, they will work for you.

Abundance Affirmations

Have you ever had a negative thought concerning your financial success?  Does it seem as if your income has reached a plateau?  If so, this article is sure to help you break through those barriers.  In this article I will show you how saying a simple abundance affirmation can remove those barriers, and cause you to achieve more.

So what exactly is an abundance affirmation?  Simply a powerful goal related statement that you repeat over and over with feeling and conviction.  Let’s say you had a goal to earn $100,000 a year.  Some possible affirmations would be:

  • I am happily earning over $100,000 this year
  • I am enjoying the benefits of my $100,000 income
  • I am gratefully and happily enjoying saving, investing and earning over $100,000

More abundance affirmations would be:

  • I desire and deserve to earn $100,000
  • I am living my dream life with my $100,000 income
  • My $100,000 income allow me to spend the summer in Spain
  • I am excited about my $100,000 income

In order to create your own, follow these simple steps:

Begin your affirmations with “I am”. Stating the words ‘I am’ actually retrains your brain to think and do things in a new way.

Make your affirmation positive.  Create a statement that focuses on what you want, not the things you want to avoid.

Use strong emotional adjectives.   Emotions such as: happy, excited, elated, joyful, healthy, passionate, grateful, confident, generous, and faithful.

State the affirmations in the past tense. Doing so will create a tension within your brain to want to close the gap between your current reality and your affirmed reality.

Make your affirmations short and sweet.  This is a statement that you will be repeating often and it needs to easily flow from the tongue.  “I am a happy, healthy millionaire.”

The statement need to be based on a current goal that you have.  We all either have, or should have financial goals.    Whatever your financial goal is, create an affirmation that coincides with the goal.

In order for your new affirmations to be effective, you need to repeat the statement often.  Become consumed with your goal until working to achieve your goal is automatic.  Abundance affirmations are a great way to keep yourself focused, and offers you the persistence to achieve your financial goals.
