Belief In Yourself Produces Success
I want to talk to you today about the most important aspect of your success. Yep, I’m talking about belief in yourself and your abilities to produce the results you greatly desire. So why is belief so important? Belief is essential because without it, you are paralyzed, not being able to move forward. Without belief, your goals and desires are forced to remain within you, never getting the opportunity to express themselves outwardly. I want to share some ideas I have that can help you increase your current level of belief in yourself.
Read, Listen or Watch Inspirational Messages
I love inspirational messages. One reason why I am able to share these ideas with you is because I’ve done it myself. It’s really easy to do. If you are new to self improvement and personal development, visit your local library and check out the self improvement section. You will find authors like Brian Tracy, Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen (Chicken Soup For The Soul), Les Brown and many others. Skim over the pages of a certain book to see if what the author is saying resonates with you. If you like the author’s style, check out the book and also see if they have an audio version of the book. You can’t read a book on the drive to work, but you sure can listen to a CD, can’t you?
Volunteer For A Local Charity
Volunteering is the greatest demonstration of love that you can express to others. Sharing of your time, knowledge and experience with others gives you a humble pride that makes you feel incredibly good. Also, as time goes on and you develop more of a proficiency in that area, the people around you will look up to you because of your expertise.
Reconsider Your Relationships
The people who we are around the most have the most influence in our lives. Are the people around you helping you to achieve greatness or are they content to see you as you are? Do they encourage you to do bigger and better things or do they discourage you from thinking big and breaking away from the pack? If you made radical changes in your life and became super successful, how would those friends look at you? Would they be happy you made progress in life or would they say that you sold out?
My best suggestion for increasing belief in yourself is for you to examine your desires and goals. Why is it important to you that you achieve them? Create a list of 50 benefits to be gained if you achieve your desired outcome. What pain is associated with not following through? How has your lack of belief benefited you? Are you a better person now as a result? If you don’t deal with that unbelief now, what will it cost you in the future. I want to share a powerful quote with you. It’s from Wade Cook. Wade said:
“If the next five years are like the last five years, where will you be in five years?”
And this is a question we must ask and answer to ourselves. If this lack of belief has taken so much from us, why do we continue to keep it around. This lack of belief only takes from us, it never gives and enriches our lives. Decide right here and now that you will confront the cause of fear and unbelief, and deal with it once and for all.
